UK guys selling mobile website / web design

Hi I am looking to jump into offline marketing by providing mobile sites to small businesses. Are there any UK guys doing this currently maybe we can bump heads and come up with ideas of how to be more successful.

I have just started so offfered to do two mobile sites for free for some local businesses so I can use them for my portfolio.

Would like to hear how others are getting on.

Cool I've been trying to hire sales people but it's next to impossible. How are you generating biz offline?I've just been cold calling but I was thinking of a more face to face approach as there's alot of businesses in my local area

xIMx Possible =] I am in the process of hiring a sales agent who is interested and yes, it is doable. If you used Kijiji or CL then I see why. Use Zip Recruiter and they bring the candidates in

I am planning to do the email approach as well as cold calls. I am doing a free one for my driving instructor so hopefully he will show it off to his friends and generate business my way. So far I have not looked at hiring anyone.

How are you guy billing... paypal, cheque etc

dont really see the point in hiring until you got a solid foundation to work on and with. Im currently finding 5 clients offering discounted rates to show on my own website, got 2 at the moment hoping to pick up once i get first 5 (referrals etc) used one time payment as there local so they just paid with cash...but looking to turn it into a monthly service...what do you guys do?

I've seen people offering the websites completely free and just charging for the hosting. The idea is to build up volume, by referals.
