UK Fishing Traffic

I'm looking for tips on promoting my new UK fishing social network.

I'm pretty limited on funds but have time so, looking to do something myself.
I have joined a ton of forums and have been posting meaningful posts and then ad my link in the sigs however, most get removed after adding the link.

Would Twitter, Facebook, Bookmarking, Directories, Classifieds be any good for this type of site?

Yes, concentrate on social media for now but keep on posting on relevant forums also. Some forums will let you post your link.
