UK Citizens can't buy crypto anymore?

Yesterday I got an update in OKX and bybit that as UK Citizen I can't buy crypto using their platform or even p2p from someone else

what happened here ? and what our other options if all crypto platforms closing for UK I think it will have big impact on everyone

that is good and bad news at the same time:

Bad: for UK citizens
Good: for BTC holders
 
why ?
UK Citezens can Buy Crypto its not issue
infact whole world can buy Crypto without any problem
its online payment system
no one have permission to ban it
 
OKX and Bybit are not the only platforms; there are many.
 
Everything can be bought, there are plenty of services to buy crypto, so getting around is easy

of course they can but will be much harder in the past just create account on crypto platform and buy with bank transfer. now you need to buy from unknown shaddy platforms that 99% scams it's the same as buying without kyc
 
hmmm but you can use Binance P2P by using VPN
and select any payment method that not connect with your bank

actually all platforms have our identity as you passed kyc so they know if you are from uk or not without checking your ip
 
Hmmm its concern
but too many ways to buy crypto in banned countries
we should try unknow persons with Low volume

Using a VPN on a crypto platform is risky.
 
I use Coinbase and they make you do a test now before you can carry on. Once you pass it continues as it used to.
 
The whole idea of decentralized system is constantly becoming controlled. So sad.
