Is there any decent UK alternatives to fiverr? I've tried 'fivesquids' but there doesnt seem to be anybody on there making any sales as far as i can tell. I'm getting about 5 sales a week on fiverr, which was good practice, now I need to scale up.
Also $4 converted to £ is pocket fluff.

so any other similar sites that actually get decent traffic?

There are Fiverr clones available where you can offer more than $5 gigs, but you hardly get orders as there is no traffic. Just stick to Fiverr and as you said, scale it up..

not really, the clones suck big time, all of them, no exception

maybe the German fiverr (fiverr.de) will be a good place, but is still in closed beta as of now (no orders can be made)

I think fiverr is a Isrealian company because everytime I want to order a gig it puts paypal on Isreal @!

Like cyberzilla said, stick to fiverr.

(PS. I'm involved in this one...)

JacksAlive is launching this month - It's niched down so mainly for students and small businesses.

We've already got a load of the big universities on board and more to follow - just in the process of building up the jobs. With links from all edu sites, traffic will steadily increase over the next 2 months+...

Feel free to add your jobs - there's a free quick start guide to download on the site.

At the moment, it's a great idea to scale up your jobs on fiverr - have you tried featuring your gigs? it worked well for some of my clients.

    All the best

    Rich

4Fivers is my site that i am almost complete on, I am trying to make sure it is dedicated more toward the UK however have incorporated other language also.
would be gratefull if anyone will test it out with a few test gigs or even real ones if you wish as site is live.
Any input gratefully received good or bad
    Regards John

You cannot make anything big from the fiverr clones. Work hard and stick with it till you succeed.

I ran into a new one a week ago and i've had 7 sales so far. They barely opened so they must have a good marketing plan.

I appreciate this thread is fairly old - I stumbled across recently and just thought I would add to it just in case others stumble across it too.

There is a new service coming to the UK call goTask.co.uk - much the same as Fiverr only your not restricted to setting a fee of $5 etc.. they are launching soon and if you signup on their website now you'll get £10 of credit. Check it out....

I have always like fiverr. It is best to stay there and look at how you can increase your sales there.
