UI without Ux

Example: Suppose you are buying a water tap . you bought smooth silky shinning full design., with smooth handle which is suitable with your bathroom.
image you pick soap and use it . now just to open water tap .. it will be very difficult to open it . no doubt design is pretty good and smooth but what about experience ?

just like UI design, you design a professional clean minimal interface but its not according to target of audience then what will be the purpose of that design?
