uBot Studio vs Bot Chief

I was getting ready to purchase uBot Studio and I noticed another, similar app called Bot Chief. uBot has seems to have a lot of support and an active community whereas Bot Chief doesn't appear to have much of anything (I actually talked to the owner of uBot over the phone - excellent support!).

Has anyone used both apps? Which one is better?

Bot Chief is about $600 cheaper and they claim to give you a lot of features. I'm just afraid of buying a defunct software that will never be updated again. uBot clearly gets updated and has a lot of active users.

Can anyone give me some guidance?

I'm not a cheapo. Obviously I want to pay as little as possible for anything that I purchase, just like anyone else. lol

I'm a total newb when it comes to botting so I have no idea which one is better. My gut was telling me uBot because of the support and community. You've just confirmed my initial thoughts.

Because I'm a newb, I'm going to get the basic package and upgrade as I improve. I notice a lot of plugins at the uBot store - are there any that I'll need right away to get started?

you really can't get better support than the staff at ubot, and the ubot forum, its packed with regular users, and the videos for ubot are a plenty. The technology behind creating software that can bot up webpages is tough, and comprehensive, and thats what ubot excel at.

Personally I have worked a lot with ubot in the past when I was doing the social media services and that stuff.

Always runned smooth and never had any issues with ubot so I can recommend it .. Go for it

If i were you , I would take the botcheif trial with $7 and test it first. I hate expensive tools with no trials. No hard feelings or bad experience with uBot but I always like to test the product myself first. Anyway , that's just me..good luck!

Yeah man. I bought uBot and I'm really impressed. I need to learn more but I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks!

Thanks Seth. I spoke to Jason over the phone and he was really cool and patient, and answered all my newb questions. This is probably the best investment I've ever made in any software. I've bought all kinds of stuff over the years and now I can just make my own.

Yeah , I tired it before and it's a good tool and it supports compiling to .exe which is a big plus. But not for SEO or web browsing purposes.
