Brand Overflow has more potential (IMO) but the founder has admitted to struggling with generating MRR, partially abandoned it for a while in favor of TopicMojo, so it's been on shaky ground for a while. However, he's commented that he's redoubled his commitment, and the new limits and features are solid. Worth grabbing at least a mid-tier license. The main advantage of Ubersuggest is that it's got deep pockets RE funding and Neil & co. keep expanding, acquiring, and integrating, so it could be the better play long term.
Both are decent RE results, so you can't go wrong with either - BO has the nice optin/lead gen feature on the agency LTDs so that would be its biggest selling point for the time being (IMO).
TLDR: both are decent and do a solid job, neither are too amazing - BO has been on shakier ground than US, so you may want to factor that into your decision.
Amazing! Thanks a lot for your detailed answers. Much appreciate itBoth will give you decent ideas of volume - I personally find that most keyword tools are good to give you the gist on if a keyword is fairly popular or not, but even then I often go after "0" search volume longtails, and find that longtails with thousands of searches a often don't come near to reflecting how much traffic you'll get (even when factoring in approximate traffic % based on ranking position).
Honestly I find SpyFu to provide numbers that most accurately reflect potential volume based on expected searches vs ranking position, even against the giants such as ahrefs and semrush.
All that to say - both will give you decent estimates, but - like with all keyword volume tools - take the data with a grain of salt.
That’s an amazing finding. Apart from SV, have you got to check the keyword difficulties and such? Have you managed to rank for low competitive keywords you’ve found with Ubersuggest?Ubersuggest keyword SV is most accurate compared with the other tools. So I did research last week and collected the SV from Google Adwords. Then I run the report via Ubersuggest and find all the SV are the same as AdWords. I didn't use Brand Overflow yet, but I got LTD for Ubersuggest. It's worth it.
Thank you!Go with brand overflow and you will be happy
