I finally put the extra 400$ for the agency lifetime deal.
I compared ubersuggest and ahref webmaster and to my surprise, the traffic estimate on my websites was more accurate on ubersuggest.
Actually the keyword tool on ubersuggest is simple and good. No waste of time here.
I've seen more and more refering domains on my projects in the last 6 months. Unfortunately it is not because i received tons of extra backlinks, it was just Ubersuggest getting more and more backlink in its database.
I just compared Ubersuggest with the free version of seokicks (which is used in expireddomains.net) and with ahref for the backlinks.
The results are way better than seokicks. Ahref still gets more backlinks but the gap has been reduced in the last 6 months. The results for backlinks on Ubersuggest are pretty decent now. It really does the job when you look for expired domains for example. The domain score is pretty good now too. I found it sometimes better than Majestic Trust Flow.
The site audit on Ubersuggest is pretty much unuseful. It is a waste of time I would say. This is where Ahref or Semrush are far superior. But it is for very specific SEO needs like broken links on your website and competitor domains. And Ubersuggest sometimes have a few bugs they fix pretty quickly but you can see they are still on the starter phase. The keywords database is updated less regularly so you will have to wait a little bit after a Google update to check competitors keywords which are not in your projects.
Honestly I think Ahref and Smerush are overpriced. At 1000$/year, their tool still has some limits because they are now focusing their marketing efforts on their 2000$/year plan.
With 15 projects, I am now pretty comfortable to check my daily keywords positions and some of my competitors in one place.
Personally, I now prefer focus my money and time on content and getting good backlinks. Sure you get more informations on Ahref but the little extra value I get for my websites really doesn't justify the huge price gap.
I just hope Ubersuggest doesn't go bankrupted in the next 2 years and finds a sustainable way to get monthly subcriptions.
