I work as Uber eats driver in New York city. Weird situation, i can work only 5 hours per week, then maybe yes, maybe not.

I was advised to work many hours, then they maybe give me more hours It doesn't work for me:
1) I need to earn money right now
2) I cannot afford to waste my time, going to busy areas, waiting 30-60 minutes, untill they maybe (!) let me go online
3) Even if they'll give me more hours, they can take it back, if I'll not work enough hours. But I plan to work as uber eats driver from time to time, not like a regular full time job

So, what can I do?
I know exactly, that some drivers bend the 5 hours rule somehow.
But I really worry, that they can deactivate my account at all

If you can do Uber Eats, you can do any job! Just change jobs? I'm not sure what your asking? You want a workaround to a job you don't want to do incase they deactivate your account?

Uber Eats’ hour limits can be tricky if you only want to drive occasionally. Extra hours aren’t guaranteed, and workarounds risk deactivation. Might be worth trying other delivery apps or flexible side gigs for more consistency.

Consider building a small side shop or even business on the side. If you absolutely need to add the hours while feeling it there is a lot of downtime, there is a lot you can do just from your phone today.
