Hi guys, I can vaguely recall reading somewhere about intentionally targeting typos as keywords.

An example would be Chinatown as "Chinatonw".

I found a typo by accident and the typo keyword has pretty good CPC value.

Do any of you guys do this?

I was using typos for cheaper targeting PPV traffic quite succesfully. For SEO purposes it might be good too.

You have to be careful, Google has been getting better at substituting the correct spelling when the misspelled word is typed in. Sometimes you do not even get the "Did you mean" at the top of the page but it just goes directly to the results of the correct spelling.

If you think you have found a good one make sure you do a manual search and see what kind of results you get before spending any time and energy on the misspelled keyword. Do not just look at the results from any tools you may be using. Personally I do this for every keyword I am thinking about going for but it is much more important for the misspelled ones.
