Typo in my description meta

Fellow blackhatters,

Just indexed a new site of mine and after the identica trick it was easely indexed within a couple of minutes.

Its showing up on page one #8 of the half a million results, with 40.000 searches a months. Now i know it still will bounce up and down some, but i yet have to start building some backlinks to my new baby.

Now.

I just noticed i made a small typo in my description meta.

I know it used to be tricky to mess around in the metas when indexed in google but i am not sure it also was for the description tag.

Can some of you seo guru's tell me if i can change this without having a freefall?

Just change it you'll be fine - i'm guessing it's only like one character - it's not like you're rewriting your whole meta.

Shouldn't be a problem as long a your keywords are still in there.
I totally rewrote mine and still stayed no.2 out of 22,000,000

google stopped caring about meta a long time ago.. changing it should not make any difference on your ranking

1. if you are actually changing the description meta tag then there's no issue

2. if google pulled content from your page to make the description tag then yes it can affect your rankings

either way....you better do it now then worry about it later then have to deal with more time with google adjusting
