Two businesses with same address for Google places

I'm working on a business that has the same address as another business in their building. Rather than having unit numbers, they just did the street address.
Should I try and correct this? Or leave it as it is? THey are both in Google Places as the same address. Two totally unrelated companies.

Just leave it as it is, it shouldn't be an issue.

when i had problems like that i had to delete the one page first but that was straight forward the first business no longer existed but i still had to contact google to clear it up and although it was all above board i have never really been able to rank that page or the domain linked to it and its also always had a high spam score. if i were you i would find some way of identifying the 2 separate companies and speaking with google,which is a pretty pleasant experience. i may be wrong but this is my experience with 2 pages

I actually had the same issue except the companies were owned by the same person and had the same website.

They have different phone numbers, right?

With the recent Possum update most likely only one business will show up in the SERPS.

I had that problem. It gave me herpes.

I've heard that if two listings have the same address, there's a risk google would merge one with the other. How likely is that to happen?

It's pretty unlikely however Possum typically ghosts one location so only one will show in the SERPS.
