Hey, I have a fairly novice oriented question I guess, I'm trying to figure out how I should go about setting this up, basically I'm about to start college(going in as a computer science major) and I'm also working on some tutorials for creating games using Java. The games that I create are completely commercial friendly and I already have many of my tutorials monitized through YouTube, however I wanted to make a blog for it as-well, mainly to get myself some publicity incase I ever wanted to release something, but also as a place that my tutorials can sit, besides for YouTube, as some people prefer reading than watching.

My Question, Should my Blog that displays progress/updates on MY games be a seperate blog from the ones that are about my tutorials? or should I keep them together to drive in more traffic? Should I have a single domain, but two blogs? How should I go about doing all of this if I choose to use a blogger?

Thanks.

I would simply set up one Blog where where your progress and updates can be posted along with your tutorials. More then likely, if you build a fan base for your tutorials, your active readers/subscribers are going to have interest in your current work and updates so I believe having just 1 Blog/Site will be more beneficial for you in the short & long term.

Use the same site. In the header, you can have a tab for 'tutorials > java > games'; and for your personal stuff you can put in the header a link to a 'blog'.

Do you thinking having static pages for the tutorials would work as-well for SEO purposes?

I would use one website too, basically a wordrpress site. Homepage for your recent news tutorials and etc. having main navigation what separates them (tutorials, news, etc)
