twitterautofollowback - Good Idea, or Bad Idea?

Just got this in my only twitter account after 3 days of playing around with followers (I have 2000, plus 160 or so that are following me) So there's the ratio.

I messed with Farmville and Mafia Wars 2, and they took over your Facebook so they could message advertisements and also self-promote their games, by announcing all the stupid shit you got in order to "advance" in the game. Yes, I was that stupid.

So, I'm reluctant to hand-over any kind of control, however the lure of thousands of handsome men and beautiful women following me (even if only to the garage) is irresistible. But then, one person reports her belief that 90% of twitter accounts are fake.

So, twitterautofollowback. Yes or no? Why or why not. If you know something, or have good questions, post a lot. If you are that one douche that hijacks threads in order to pump up his bullshit twitter software for Mac, you can fuck off. You aren't even allowed to READ this thread, much less post in it.

What I'm really wanting to do is figure out how to unfollow people who aren't following me, without unfollowing the people that are. And, it seems to me that a good feature for some advanced Twitter software would be to keep a database of the followed and the followers, to include the data that they showed up, so that you can set the unfollower to automatically unfollow any followed that do not follow you back after "X" amount of time (days I assume).

Also an automated scraping routine, that scours the interwebz for tweets with certain keywords, and automatically engages those accounts in the proscribed way. 100% automated. Fire & forget. Self governing too, so it knows what the limits are (how fast to follow, unfollow "drip rate", etc... (I have this idea about proxies too.)

I looked through the t&c's and i couldn't see anything that jumped out along the lines of "we reserve the right to post on your account"

I just logged into the service, and it seems to be ok, i can't find any bulk unfollow though

How do you know this, about the fake/real stats? Is there a fake discernment tool? I read a few bits about softwares that claim to be able to do this, but it seems to me that if it was that simple, then twitter would be getting rid of the fake ones instantly, so how accurate is the fake-o-meter?

Well I just signed up with it, and I think it's crap. The stats mentioned above come from twitterautofollowback, and there's no way to know if they are accurate or not. The software is completely crippled, and they want money to make it functional, and even then I don't think it's going to have nearly the features that can be had elsewhere.

One indicator of the crapware nature of this crapware is that when you go to "cancel" the account, it says that it "cannot be undone" which is a load of crap because I immediately re-signed up again (and then immediately cancelled again).

Sorry I'm a little late on this thread, but I happen to use this same service and I like it so far. I've gained a lot of followers by saying that I follow back and it saves me time from having to do it all manually. It does have a feature to find and unfollow people who don't follow back too. I asked about bulk unfollow and they told me that it's against twitter's terms of service for apps, which explains why it's so hard to find something like that.

Regarding the fake followers check, according to their FAQ page:
We take a sample of a user's followers and check each one of them and determine if they are real, fake, or inactive based on the account creation date, number of followers, number of following, number of tweets, last tweet date, and a couple other criteria. We generally use the same sample size for all accounts but have done many comparisons with larger sample sizes and the numbers are approximately the same. Our Twitter tool to find fake followers is more accurate than many other sites because it samples over all of a user's followers instead of just the most recent ones.

Try StatusPeople, it's free but I am not sure how accurate

It said I had 3% fake, 11% inactive, leaving 86% real. Seems unrealistic to me.

Seems like a better idea than buying followers, so why not?
