there is one easy solution to reach numbers a little smaller ( -50 ) than in the screenshot
use free chrome "twitter mass follow"
1) followback all followers with avatars (or with bio)
2) follow http://twitter.com/asciiART/following not followers
the +50
because >400k
caused by newly created indian spam accounts without bio + avatar
in the moment the method is described @ http://spacekut.com/twitter

I've been using twitter mass follow extension as well making sure they have bio and header. You're getting double the followbacks as me!. Those indian accounts are hit or miss. I used to follow them all the time, but most like to unfollow you at some point, which is annoying.

i'm tracking the 1st followed accounts and i follow 24h later or the next session until this accounts ( chrome ctrl + F )
if 1k/day i Follow

FILTERs: BIO exclude: previously followed + protected
