I'm a musician and I've take care about the Gracenote service that was teaming with Twitter directly a few months ago in order to verify (the blue badge, not the verified email) the musicians twitter accounts fastest than the others, but they are not working anymore with Gracenote and they have stopped the service. I think that the iTunes + Gracenote submission could help but have no any idea about how it works so then...

There is any way to get verified? What is the secret?

May I add for people that want to "buy verification" be extra careful - not too long ago there was a shitlist on a guy that done these and didn't produce he made a healthy $3K from each sell. Be careful.
 
Stay away from people claiming to get you "twitter verified" - 100% bullsh#t - they just want to take your money.

There are 2 options:

1. Spend a shit load of money on twitter ads and get your business account verified to "protect" your brand

or

2. Be famous and they will reach out to you and have it taken care of.

Back in the day we got a business page verified after creating a lot of fake ones and claimed it was being copied, etc - it lasted a short time and after that twitter advertising rolled out and we were told that companies spending large amounts of $$$$ have the option of becoming verified since they are an "ad partner" - so don't add any clowns on skype that claim they can verify your account.
 
Yes something should be different of yours from others. You should be famous and have real followers along with in demand. Recently what I know is that they are only verifying to famous personalities which are well known in world.

Its complete bullshit...just someone looking to rip someone off. Hopefully OP didn't pay the "3rd party supplier" Fucking scammers everywhere.

That is what it was not sure about now. As long as they saw a company spending big $$$ they justified the "verified" badge as a way to "protect" the brands that are spending money form being impersonated.

The clown above claiming that there is 3rd party verification is talking out his ass and probably trying to rip someone off. That is such a bullshit claim. It reeks of shit.

No one can buy verification like you said, they claim to have "connections" but it is BS.

What you have to do is spend $$$, on Twitter ads, know a few people who run humor accounts and it took thousands on Twitter ads to get their accounts verified, but their accounts were even made with API abusive methods. But even then it is a gamble that you'll be noticed enough that they will verify you.
 
It's not compulsory you can use it without verified your twitter account.

lol, I know that for the musicians should be very easy, I know musicians with less followers and less fanbase than me with the verified blue check... I think that this could be because they have music on iTunes + Gracenote + record labels and me not.

Any advice on that? iTunes and Gracenote could help? I have contacted Gracenote a few weeks ago and they say me that theyre not working more with Twitter so... sheet happens lol
 
Verification doesn't matter unless you are extremely popular. If you people like you they will follow you regardless. There are countless celebrities without a verified Twitter and they do just fine. Verification is needed in the sense when people are copying your account and posing to be you.
