Leith and I have been looking at this for ages, and NetMoney has been looking at it longer.

I'm starting to think the fastest way is to become an "artist/musician" with a YouTube channel and then get verified as an artist.
 
Twitter verification is useless...and this is coming from someone who can do it now. Took a lot of probing and leg work to get here...and I bashed people claiming to be able to offer it in the past (because they were full of shit and asked for $$$ upfront)...anyway, I have analyzed dozens of twitter accounts that I have gotten verified...and guess what...???

Not a SINGLE one saw an increase in followers, retweets, etc. Nothing. 100% worthless.

It is for ego maniacs....nothing more. Take the $$$ you would spend for this and use it to grow your business. You could take a couple grand and use it on twitter ads and make money....verification? Useless. Branding? Ok....but think...do you buy a product because the company is verified on a social network? Fucking worthless.

There are 101 better things to do with the money that will help your business.

Any verification goes through the SAME channel/department...anyone saying they have some blackhat trick to get it done is 100% lying. It is all about relationships...and no matter how good the relationship they won't verify a shitty worthless account. Again, save your money. Worthless. I've ripped into more data than I should have....just to prove to myself it is 100% worthless and has ZERO value other than a personal ego stroke.
 
Yes, you'll certainly be able to get verified if you're famous enough. At least that how it works the last time i check. :)
 
Netmoney is right, unless you have a legitimate preexisting plan that verification will supplement, verification is completely useless.

If you use is as part of a campaign, it can have some use - but limited to say the least.

In the case it's absolutely necessary, go for it, otherwise, spend that money on promotion to grow your followers.
 
I have encountered so many scammers regarding this... Have paid to get this done once and it worked.. second time around the provider disappeared.. Very hard to do by the looks of it

This is for a credited actor and touring musician- who has been on network tv, in movies, and has music on itunes etc. Yes, he is an artist, he would qualify.
 
I have an account for an actor that is on a nationally televised series and nationally syndicated radio show, has a verified FB page, is in Wikipedia and IMDb, and has a very active social following. PM me if you offer a legit verification service and can help, what your costs are, etc.
