Twitter verification - Sending SMS issue

I have tried to verify a X account and got a UK phone number, and they ask to send a text to a number with a code. After verification, they say that the number from this country doesn't allow to verify and buy premium. I'm trying to buy premium. Would use a US number fix that? thanks

I believe, could be wrong, that everything needs to match, IP, phone, and payment from the same country.
 
I've been using US (+1) for the last couple of months and never had issues. The UK (+44) numbers require to send a text, as you said.

Yes, using a US number might bypass the issue, as X's verification system may have regional restrictions.
 
It's a backwards verification system where you need to send the code, yeah. Pretty normal for UK numbers. Not sure if US will fare any better but it's worth a shot if you still get the prompt after making sure all your other details are on the same country.
