Twitter Traffic = SHIT

i have the same story as the op really.. i got 1 conversion out of 400-500 clicks.

i'm sure there's a way to convert.. i just haven't figured it out yet.

For your own piece of mind i would try 1000+ clicks before saying that..

File gateways work better for me i.e. people dont mind filling offers out if there is something n it for them. Just make the offer irresistable.

got 1,144 clicks yesterday on an email submit, 2 leads, $2.60
terrible

but yea, you are right, i need to come up with a method instead of just spamming cpa offers

Has anyone tried sending twitter traffic to a squeeze page to build a list? How are the conversions then? Or do you guys send them to a presell page first (a blog post or something).

I've had some stuff convert terribly and some stuff convert 1:15... It's a combination of your traffic and the offer. It's almost impossible to tell ahead of time whether an offer's going to convert.

However in general I would agree that Twitter traffic is shit, and even if it converts ok for you on the front end then the advertisers don't tend to like it on the back end.

I assume you're doing follow / unfollow... Are you harvesting US profiles? That's going to cause a massive difference to your conversions obviously.

I think that a lot of the 300,500,1000 clicks posts here are bots. Unless you are filtering that shit out it will over inflate clicks and make it look like you are doing worse than you actually are.

yea, i am doing follow / unfollow
then the only method i do right now is posting tweets
i am now going to try content lock
is anyone having success with content lock and twitter traffic?

If your twitter traffic is bad, it probably means you used black hat methods of getting followers which is fine, but gives you more or less, crappy leads/people to use for monetizing the twitter followers.

Just like with anything else in IM, you need to target the right market with the right offer.

If you're sending traffic to a shitty offer, expect shitty results.

I hav'nt had good luck with twitter , not saying that some people don't have good luck. I've tried wh and bh and pretty much just get clicks which adsense will take care of for you not. Wish people would elaborate on their success with twitter instead of just saying your doing it wrong.

I know I am new here in BHW. But I am definitely not a newbie in terms of making money online. If I may share my humble experience:

What I do is I capitalize on current events. I never stick to a single CPA offer.

The american football season just recently started. There was a flood of tweets about this. I capitalized by selling offers that are related to that niche. Jerseys, football wear, whatever I can think of.

It even came to a point where I had opened an ebay listing and redirected traffic there and dropshipped merchandise to customers.

Imagination is the key. Think out of the box.

Oh and I don't use any of the tools available here. IMHO, they're just not worth their price tags. I make my own. I'll develop something for you guys.. I just have think about releasing them publicly. I know some newbs here can abuse a really good tool and ruin it for everyone.

+2 on that

....

i haven't had luck with twitter yet either.

and i'm bad at figuring out trending things that will do well. but honestly i think the best way to do things is to find something that a lot of people are tweeting about and target them with the wait & reply with a content lock landing page.

for instance.. i had the 2nd episode of true blood 5 days before it aired from a private tracker.. but i didn't have a way to content lock the episode.. however if i did. I could have content locked the episode and used wait & reply to tweet to everyone that were tweeting about true blood.. "catch episode 2 of true blood 5 days before it airs to the public.. linktomoneypage"

unfortunately I just got lucky and I don't always have access to episodes that haven't aired yet. but if you can find something that is popular or currently a trend.. i'm guessing you might be able to earn a bit by content locking and using wait & reply.

if anyone is interested in talking about this more in depth and helping each other out.. I'd really like to start a skype group chat where we can discuss twitter ideas like this.

I discovered this the hard way, but some people have had success with twitter, I guess it depends on what niche you use or how you go about monetizing.

how many visitors clicked your Goal "Ads or Aff"? Maybe you need to try different landing page and use Google Weboptimizer to compare what works best

I think Twitter is something for PRO because i also tested it and i failed like OP.

Gotta make sure the tweets are social tweets, not marketing tweets. Besides that, yeah, twitter is dead in my book.
