Over the last couple of months I have been testing Twitter traffic to a variety of offer types. Over the last week, I have done some limited testing of traffic to Clickbank offers (direct send to the offer) to try to compare conversion rates for Twitter versus some other traffic sources that I use.
So far, the results have been extremely poor - even worse than other Twitter testing that I have done. For organic traffic, I am getting about 1% conversion. For paid traffic, I get about 0.5%. Thus far for Twitter, I am getting <0.1% (1 in 1000 clicks to the site turning into orders). To be clear, I am comparing "apples to apples" by using the same offers across traffic sources. The offers I am comparing are solid converters with broad appeal.
I am curious if other BHW members would be willing to share their Twitter conversion rates (without giving away the juicy details unless you want to
). I think this would be helpful to members wanting to benchmark their own performance as well as setting appropriate expectations for noobs.
