Twitter time of day follow question...

Curious if anyone has found a correlation between the time of day you follow groups of people and the number of reciprocating follows? IE... if you follow people 9am vs 6pm, are you more likely to get more reciprocating follows? I guess this would only apply to accounts that are looking for local followers.

If anyone could share their experiences that would be appreciated. As for myself, I've found that for my local market, if I follow people early in the morning (6am - 7am) I find I get more end of day reciprocating followers.

Does anyone else find this or is it just me? Thanks to those chiming in...

for me its the opposite as im targeting teens and they seem to be most active after 3pm and onwards!

Distracted is right with Teens. I have been studying my Twitter stats for 4 years and have found that if you are targeting teens in a specific reason (especially during school year) you want to have your follow hit their account within an hour of them leaving school (2:30pm to 4pm) or around 10pm.

For adults I have found a few patterns. between 8am and 9am monday through Friday work well. Also 5pm to 7pm work very well. (Also as a note this is a time my tweets get the most "action", so tweeting at these times work very well)

Also for adults Sunday mid-mornings work 2nd best. Time range of 9am to noon. I am guessing they are relaxing or nursing a hangover and have time to see who followed them. Unlike the above though, tweets do NOT get action. Just a lot of follow backs. I'm guessing because it's an easier mindless task.

While doing your experiments, try to avoid 24h/day actions, remember that your account should look like real, and in real life a person, an account owner, should sleep time to time
