Twitter temporary suspension

Hello,

Just set up my first Twitter profile today...

I went to 2 sites to try and get some followers: followmania(.)co and plusfollower(.)info
I let those 2 sites get me some followers and then about 1 hour later Twitter told me my account was temporarily suspended for following people to quickly.

Are those sites I mentioned above a bad idea to use for gaining followers?

How many people can you follow per hour or day?

technically you can follow 1k people per hour but once you hit 2k then theres a ratio of following:followers that you can follow.

I only followed around 100-130 people before I got the temporary suspension. However, they were all followed in a matter of seconds because of those 2 sites I used.

Maybe it was the speed that the people were followed and Twitter thought I was using a bot or something?
