Anyone have an idea of how many new accounts per day is ok to follow with the newer Twitter rules?

I got my account suspended by being a bit too aggressive today... looks like it will be reinstated tho by pleading "ignorance of the law" and promising to be good from now on.

Just looking for a ballpark guideline, if there is one.

Personally I keep my follow/unfollow to 500 a day per account and have not had any of my accounts banned with that formula:D

I do about 50-100 follows a day then unfollow about 10-20% of how many you are following to stay under their radar.

Gradually you will get to having 1k followers but takes time

I do about 400 a day following and i unfollow about 20% a day and i do not have any problems.......But make sure what ever software you are using that you set a good delay on adding followers that defiantly matters.......if your looking for some good following software PM me ........hope this helps

i think he's asking how many new accounts not how many people you can follow... i am finding when i make more than 4 twitter automatically suspends the accounts after 3... so i think 3 accounts safely...

Seems like you can do between 300 and 400 w/o a problem. I had one that I was trying to get booted with and did about 1000 a day.

Hey, thanks guys! I've been now safely doing a couple hundred a day... I'm testing with a "throw away" account as well to see where the cut off is... I was suspended originally with about 912.

Thanks again!

:) Just got booted by twitter. It was only a test account really though. I added about 500 followers and unfollowed a good few I had added before. I think the main reason it happened though is due to the fact I had the account sitting there for months without touching it and then all of a sudden I blasted it with followers

For new accounts I do 200-400 a day random, once my account got 2000 followers. Im doing it to the maximum twitter limit.

If you are using twitter API.. just do 150 a day..

Hi all, I am rather new to these forums and wanted to ask what a safe limit would be for my company account. I have pushed it to 7000 over the last year, and dont want to take big chances.

It seems that Tweetadder has a default on 200. Do you think it would be a bad idea to go over this if you really really do not want to take any chances? If I have not yet used an out of jail card, am i safe pushing to 300?

Used to be like 2000.. i'd try to stay under 500.. I've had a few friends get banned for add and unsubbing too rapidly. They say that there is a ratio of some sort.

In starting it will be good to not follow more than 300 once a day.

when you guys are adding people is it through API?

I had an account suspended last week. I use TweetAdder and I got a little power hungry. The day I got suspended I had done around 700 follows and about 200 unfollows.

Here's what I did though to get my account reactivated! I opened a ticket with Twitter and acted totally shocked, like "what the heck, I can't get into my twitter account. can you tell me why?". And then they send you a canned response saying you violated their policies. Then I sent a response back saying "oh my God I'm so sorry. I hired this guy to help me with promoting my account and he assured me that he could help me get followers and that it was totally legit. I had no idea this was against your policy. Needless to say, I have fired that scam artist! Is there anyway you can please reinstate my account? I don't want to lose contact with the many friends I've made. I promise I'll abide by the rules."

Two days later, I get a response back saying, since it was an honest mistake they'd give me another chance, but that I'm not supposed to use any "service" to follow/unfollow people.

Obviously, you can only use this "I'm an idiot, soooo sorry" song and dance once, but if you get your account banned, you may want to try it. Just act humble and stupid and they may just re-activate you.

Hope that helps!
