Twitter Suspended: Followed 50, No Bot

People are mentioning following a lot of people, but which bots are you using?

Do you think it's just a case of x% of accounts will be randomly banned and so you have to work with large number (1000+ accounts) in order to keep afloat and take a x% ban on the chin?

I'm wondering whether Tweet Demon leaves a footprint, as I've tried aged accounts, new accounts, delays in excess of 10 minutes between each follow. Some still get banned after only 15-20 follows.

Same here I had 1000 accounts banned cold turkey after API update. Was using TD.

Then I tested 5 new accounts following at 300 - 360 secs, using the search function, and all had their own proxies. All 5 suspended. One was suspended after following only 11 users. TD is broken.

Twitter probably found a way to profile TD follows. Someone mentioned it here on another thread.

We have to find out whether its the bots or twitter thats doing this for certain. If its the bots we can come together to make a custom black hat solution

I tested a couple of new accounts by building them manually and adding followers manually. Here are my findings:

*Finding: There are inherent problems with TweetDemon's follow by search and follow by text file. The software's Follow other user's followers appears to be working properly after the 1.0.60 update

*Finding: The follow limit was once 1000 per day. This limit is now signifincantly reduced. It appears that the safe limit is now ~150 per day. To be conservative, a lower limit should be applied when working with large amounts of accounts. Further testing is necessary.

*Finding: Despite increasing the follow delay to 6-15 minutes between follows and setting only a 20 follow daily limit, There still remains a substantial amount of suspensions. This particular sample was of 30 new accounts.

Anyone else have some insight?

Twitter is not perfect so if they suspect something, they'll just suspend it immediately to be safer. You can always call their attention if you are really innocent and the mistakes are fully on their end. This happens a lot especially if you add people too fast. This is their way of protecting spam.
