It seems that no matter what I write from my accounts, it does not appear in search.twitter.com!!!!

Anyone got any idea about that?:yield::yield:

that account is screwed. you've been banned and will not be viewable in search ever. they do this to people who unfollow to rapidly. or to people that follow -> unfollow -> follow again.

Aha! A newly create account DID appear in the search results for the same word.

Ok, so it is official. It bans accounts from the search results even though they are active!

Thanks!bpicks

well they're not suspended. your updates just aren't viewable in search. kind of twitter's answer to ghosting accounts like craigslist ghosts ads

they don't have the balls to ban my accounts, just ghosting :)

Ghosting is very very bad. I am dumping my accounts and creating new as we speak.

I can give you a list over well over 1k banned accounts. I beg to differ.

ok, i was joking :p

i have one suspended account too...

beamagpie.com warned me that my tweets didn't show up in the twitter search and if it happens you don't be able to use those accounts for makin some money with beamagpie...i write an email to twitter helpdesk but they didn't do anything...(didn't respond, didn't unghost)
at least i know the reason why!

i suspect it has to do with how fast we are tweeting

Sorry for my ignorance but why does search.twitter.com really matter? Isn't the primary point to tweet links to our properties and have our followers click them? I mean, if the point is to get traffic from search.twitter.com, why even bother getting followers, you could just talk to yourself with 0/0 followers/following.

Ghosting doesn't affect your followers seeing your tweets, does it?

my new account got ghosted in an hour

Fuck the followers, I want my content viral and this happens through search.twitter.com.

Update: Twitter is getting wise. After flagging the new account, it autoghosted the next account from the same ip. :)

The fun seems to be over.

I see. If ghosting occurs because of mass unfollowing, and one doesn't care about followers, then why do the mass unfollowing in the first place? I'm not trying to argue, just trying to understand twitter better since I just recently got into it :)

Obviously it does not happen only then.

For example, I twit every minute. So they probably have a flag for that.

Update 2:

I created a new account that did not have a numeric postfix (like account9000), uploaded an avatar and I am not autoghosted any more.

This, or they have a timer to unghost the ips.

Let' see how much this one will last.

... and it got ghosted.

Perhaps it 's because I am logged in from two ips simultaneously. Shiat.

EDIT:

It did not get ghosted after all. There was just a delay before it started appearing.

EDIT 2: It is erratic. It does not show up again. Perhaps it is shaving like CB. :D :D

It seems that it has indeed a limit on how fast you can get in the search results again. I am posting every minute and some get posted and some don't.
