Twitter removes headlines / key information from tweets

Another bizarre change. With a lot of tweets you don't know if it's just an image or a link.

But has anybody tried using a featured image with something such as 'click here' on the actual image, to send people to their website?

Oww this terrible I clicked today and I m scared . its so stupid. Normal persons how can know this?

We can thank the big press publishers.
They're waging war on Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc. to get them to pay royalties (I'll give you the simplified version).
So, since the press publishers consider that the social networks and Google are making money off them, they've asked the latter to use their content as little as possible.
This is a direct consequence of the Copyright Directive adopted in the European Union in 2019.
I'm sorry, but I don't have any English-language sources on this topic.
In any case, to prevent the big press publishers (who pay their journalists very poorly) from asking Twitter for money, Twitter has decided to limit exposure as much as possible ... for everyone.

Not too keen on this particular change. Either out of convenience or Stockholm, I much rather prefer when they had the key info out on the tweet. That said, I don't see too much negative rep on this change just yet so maybe we can wait out for a few to get a proper pulse on things.
