Twitter Promote Mode Invite - Twitter’s $99 monthly subscription ad program

So I happened to see I was invited into this new $99 monthly twitter beta ad program today. Does anyone know much about it? I wonder if I should try it out and see if I can make any money with it. I only have like 1700 followers on my twitter account and I never use it. Dang, I feel like maybe I should try it... any thoughts?

I thought it was an invite only... i think anyone can get into the beta program now...

Twitter is extending the program to US accounts with around 2k followers or more, thereabouts. The reason is because the program won't be useful for those with less than 1k followers.

Read the fine print too, YOU CAN'T choose which tweets to promote as ads. It's all automatically done by the system, which means how often it promotes your tweets is also unknown. Imagine... 1 promoted tweet a day, that's $3.3 for each tweet.
