Twitter on Hunt !! 100+ accounts banned.

If your bottling goes through as manual you won't run into problems... It doesn't mean by delay, but of image mapping.

Try using different software during runs and limit filters.

Also try and contact Twitter support to get them back.

I got my account banned today. I used a chrome plugin to follow-unfollow, and today I see no followers and no followings. Luckily I unlocked it using phone verification, but still... A week of hard work vanished.

Update: followers count returned, hope I will not be in such a trouble next time.

Be careful if you bot via Twitter API. It is easily traceable.

Any one else twitter account banned today ? or its only me ?

This can happen if your not taking the necessary precautions, or using bad software. What software are you using?
and what are all the delay settings your using with your software so we know what are bad settings please.

Ok let me tell you how twitter ban on my experience.

Follow and unfollow with no tweet/retweet = ban
All Tweet post 80-100% with links = ban
Tweeting with the same content from other accounts w/o retweeting = ban

Did you experience this on new accounts or also on old accounts? Many accounts get away with 100 percent link posts ... just look at any major news organization such as Reuters or the New York Times. But of course they are old and well-established accounts, and they're linking to non-spam sites.

@Scariot:

I'm not sure in what meaning you used the "ban" word. Does it mean suspended or does it mean locked by phone verify too for you?

Follow and unfollow with no tweet/retweet = ban
I can attest to this, one of my accs just got PVA locked for this exact reason. I wondered why it was gone, soon i find out that i fucked it up and didn't run the tweeting project, only the follow lol, 1k follow/day with no tweeting is a big no. It was banned when i was at 1.3k followings.

All Tweet post 80-100% with links = ban
I can't relate to this. All of my tweets contain links, i post around 75 tweets per day with every account. Just because of this, you won't get banned for sure. Atlhough i don't cross-post between accounts, i use 1 domain per account.

Tweeting with the same content from other accounts w/o retweeting = ban
I can't relate to this either, maybe if you do this throughout a longer period of time (meaning weeks). For the most part the penalty is that you'll be excluded from Twitter search for 20-24 hrs temporarily. If you're a serial abuser, then maybe you'll get the boot.

How do you do this? You have multiple websites? Or you do some kind of redirects?
It's not that hard to follow redirects, so to be on the safer side, i have multiple domains. :)

I don't use thousands of accs though, just 100 at once. According to my experience, if an account gets suspended or PVA locked, the domain can be re-used and it won't affect the new account negatively. So all i need is 100 domains, often you can find good deals for every kind of domains, so it's not that expensive. It doesn't have to be a .com, even free domains are good in my opinion, maybe not a .tk because of the negative connotations, but .ga or something similar, plus there are countless new gTLDs (with huge discounts sometimes), so most people won't even notice it, if you use a free domain. As long as it's a live link (preferably not masked or shortened), people will click on it.

But do the domains all point to identical content?

Why all the sites stopped providing twitter followers all at once?
Wtf has happened?

Alright

ban = suspended/lock/ghosted

The first part follow/unfollow without tweeting means that your activity in that day is only follow and unfollow. This will send red flag to there system that you are using a bot software that can result to ban

The second part all twitting content is 80-100% with link. will be same result as first part because there are no interaction on your followers. let say you didn't even communicate with your followers or you are using auto DM to communicate(with links)

the third part is the very risky one if you post the same content with your other accounts

Example :

Acc1: Check it out guys! i watched Mcdonald squirt at www.site.com
Acc2: Check it out guys! i watched Mcdonald squirt at www.site.com
Acc3: Check it out guys! i watched Mcdonald squirt at www.site.com
Acc4: Check it out guys! i watched Mcdonald squirt at www.site.com
Acc5: Check it out guys! i watched Mcdonald squirt at www.site.com

If one of your account gets flagged down twitter will scrape accounts with the same activity.

I got a friend working in twitter as a CSR so I know.

Yes. Locked but unlockable.

5 year old accounts.

I use 4 automated services such as SocialOomph, Buffer, Hootsuite and another.

Glad to know they did a sweep rather than just my accounts being hit.

Safety and protection starts from the very beginning of creation of accounts. Stay clean and they will never be banned. Should study the inner working and automated part how they happen.
