Twitter non profit as propaganda bot

hi. Does anyone here have experience of using Twitter as a instant responder targeting a political debate or current issues.

To run a twitter bot with intention of creating pressure and embrace changes, and not making money.

I want to find someone who has experience with this, what is legal, crossings! Hurdles and risks of engaging in a venture like this.

Is twitter a powerful tool for public opinion? How effective can it really be? How much pressure can I put on subject?
