If you minimise the number of followers per day thats the only way to keep the account safe.Although its not 100% Safe.Some People mix up followers from web and mobile to minimize the changes.

I agree with bartosimpsonio, twitter is so strict when it comes to mas following/followers. Better to follow twitter TOS to keep your account safe and avoid getting banned.
