Waste of time. The only people that will follow you are fellow spammers. I got up to 2,000 followers in 3 days and 99% of the people that followed me were fellow people advertising their crap.

I got 10,000 page views in 2 days from twitter marketing, total of 50 accounts, 30 left. I was getting about 250 pageviews without twitter, so 250 to 5,000 in a day is great tbh. Avg time on site is 2.5 mins.

    I'm having the same issue.

But maybe this happen because I followed people without even looks at his twets. I think right now you have to make a little more effort in order to get something of twitter

Bah, shouldn't share this cause everyone is going to do it.. but whatever.

Adding people on twitter with a bot is nice, but you just end up following other spammers, etc.

Go to twitter search and type in "first tweet" - or something similar. Find people who are brand new, these people are the ones you want.

I build followers naturally and manually follow. I try to become an authority in my niche on twitter. So I go after all new twitter users and check out their interests. I have a 'general' account - and then niche accounts.

I don't want to scare them off - so I just naturally follow/unfollow. If people on my list become spammy, I unfollow them. I also track niche-related keywords and constantly add new people (usually spend like 5-10 mins/day adding people on each account, follow 30+ new people - then clear out those who don't follow back).

Another key thing to not looking spammy is to have more followers than following. 1:1 followers are spammers/self-promoters 99% of the time.

I've been using twitter for marketing. Have had moderate success, nothing extraordinary. But the trick is not to just spam the hell out of your followers. Goto twitterfeed or hootsuite and setup some rss feeds to tweet content that is relevant to your niche. Chat with some of your followers, RT their stuff, post quotes, and every so often, send out a note with a link to your offer. But if that is all you send out day and night, you will lose followers real quick.

There's nearly unlimited potential. I know people who make $25k/yr doing some stuff, and others who make $25k/month.

    Honestly though, people get too caught up in the numbers and don't actually do any work. And people want step by step programs to copy, which don't work if you don't add your own twist. If you're making nothing, here's something you can do right now;

Go to Clickbank and find a product. Could be anything. Something that has a decent landing page, fairly high gravity (I'd say over 100) and isn't too expensive (under $30 or so).

Copy your hoplink and go to Blogger. Create a blog using the keyword from the product. Add the product, using your keyword, in the link list on the side of the site. Maybe again in the footer. Then create a blog post about it. Basically just give it a 'overview' review. Explain what it is, use copy from sales page.

Go to twitter. Create 2-3 accounts to start. Use different names, different pictures, etc. Make yourself believable. In your interests fill out that you work in your niche, ie if your niche was dog training, you would be a dog trainer from some city.

Go to twitter search, as I posted above and search for 'first tweet' 'new to twitter' etc. Add all these people. Then start searching for keywords, so dog trainer, dog training, etc. Add people who mention it, and the people who ask about something you should @reply to them about your blog.

Push these people to your blog and hopefully they will click through and buy the product - if you're believable enough. Also, go to ezine articles/go articles/hubpages/whatever and copy/paste a few articles from there onto your blog, inserting your link multiple times throughout the article.

Will take about 30 mins to setup, if that - and then an hour (or however much you can put into it) a day for promotion.

Protip: Stir up shit. No joke here. If you're a dog trainer, say that Cesar Millan (Dog Whisperer on National Geographic) is full of shit. And that he's a fraud. Do this in a blog post and spread it across all your accounts. You'll get so many click throughs you won't know what to do with yourself.

Protip 2: Add "Please RT" at the end. RT= ReTweet, meaning some people will re-post it to their stream (link and all).

Now that I've written an essay, go out and do it. And if it doesn't work in the first 2 hours.. try again. Don't be afraid of failure, try it for a week or 2, maybe 30 mins/day and after awhile you'll figure out what works and what doesn't.

Now go do it and PM me when you've made some money. No excuses.

Twitter is best marketing social media site, this helps you promote your products. But gaining followers is not the easy. You need to post fresh and relevant content as often and use hastag.

I'm making an affiliate site and am thinking about twitter. Is paying someone to tweet out a message to their followers profitable? I don't want something going out to 10 thousand bots.
