Elon knocks it out the park again.

Paying creators has effectively just castrated meta's threads.

I know right!

YouTube's ad partner program (I'm not sure what percentage are going to be yet) BUT with Twitters platform which generally has a lot less censorship, this will be huge.

Indeed it was a much needed feature for them to stay in the competition.

It also has opened up new possibilities for serious creators to have one more source of revenue. But their eligibility criteria looks like a bit strict. One has to be a blue badge subscriber, active in the past 3 months and should have 5M impressions on their tweets in the last 3 months. (18 years old age criteria and passing human verification check are there too).

When Facebook launched Ad revenue sharing program I was excited too but later it was a clear disappointment as the revenue was peanuts. It will be interesting to see how Twitter goes.

I wonder how many impressions that's from. I've heard the threshold is being subscribed to twitter blue, have 5m + impressions a months every month for the last 3 months and pass human review for monetisation standards

As sweet as this sounds, i still feel some threating from thread caused this.

Wonder if this will also compete or pull content creators from the Youtube or Twitch.
Skeptical, as last I saw twitter is still currently blocking any visit to their site without an account.

Probably be a competitor for Youtube as well in the near future
