hi guys,

i just created a new twitter account for my new money site then i buy some fake followers (around 6000) from a service...so the issue is, i don't want that followers anymore because it's waste of time and money...is there any way to delete those fake followers..

i can create new twitter account for my money site but i'll lose my real followers..:detective

Why are you worried about the fake? What are they doing to you? Just go and follow real people now, that is the purpose of padding your account with fake so you can mass follow and pick up real people

but the real problem is, it's easy to identify that the twitter page is fake because there were over 6000 followers and all of them are inactive and i just follwed only 30 to 40 pages and i tweeted around 30 only....

and even it spoils my website identity..:(

That makes no sense you only have 6000 fake followers? I'v got a followback acc that gets literally 0 retweets from 8k or so followers that are REAL.. that doesn't give up your identity just build it up. Fake followers are used to pad your account so u can follow MORE people.

yes i'm planning for that too (need to follow more people and need to tweet more)...anyway thank you mate...:)

Don't worry about the fake followers, they didn't hurt you. Just focus on the active one.

Everyone has fake followers. No one cares that you do too. Put your big girl panties on and get over it

you can try to find bot that unfolows inactive people

No one cares about fake followers, everyone who has at least 5k followers has a percentage of fakes, is inevitable because when your account starts getting traffic the bots start following you and you can't do much about it, let it goo

Just leave it be OP. People will more likely to follow you if you have a nice big follower base

Thanks for the laugh today... I needed it. I get so sick of people that think that their REAL followers are pouring through their account judging what is fake and what is not.

Big girl panties.... yes.... put them on, hike up your skirt and get marketing

Only we internet marketers will dig into the reality of your followers.

Normal internet users do not digg so much, so do not care about it and start more tweeting and follow more people.

My 2 cents

yes those followers will not affect your tweet and if still you need those fake followers to be removed Pm me and i will help you out....

Thanks

If you block a follower, it forces them to unfollow you.

If you're mostly worried about the cosmetic issue, just blocking the most recent 30 or so will leave your (more recent) followers "on top" of your follower pile, and visually will look more natural.

As others have said, most people don't snoop around other people's follower list unless your account is really high-profile/does something all of sudden to draw attention.
In that case, tools that track growth rate or ("hey! you went from 40 followers to 6000 in 2 days!") or evaluate follower quality ("hey, all your followers haven't tweeted since February 2012") will "catch" you. I'm guessing you're probably just tweeting out links every once in a while, and nobody will really care.

If you're really determined to have a squeaky clean profile, you can 1) manually block all your fake followers or 2) use a tool that does the same thing. (i haven't tested any of these/would be worried about it accidentally blocking a legit follower)

Thanks for all your advice, i don't care about fake followers anymore...

cheers
