Twitter is updating its algorithm

I have notice it from yesterday. Few of my account followers have vanished and come back after few hours.
I suggest to everyone that are using little bit extreme settings to lower them if you want your account to stay safe.

I am guessing this new algorithm will be mainly to clean out the spam accounts.

so if they're back no worries. it's just a bug probably. they had updates a month back
 
I also had some issues with twitter today.

On a profile, the "followers", "following" and "favorites" tabs completely disappeared for a few hours (at least on my two laptops and on a friends computer), however everything was normal when using the twitter app on my smartphone.
 
Dont know about that but many of the accounts asked for PVA lately.
maybe due to aggressive following and replying
 
Ahh this might explain why I've had some accounts locked over the last 3 days. Time to ease off for a bit and await the outcome/carnage.

That's why I always find the limits first, and then stay way back from them, so when they are setting up bot traps I go undetected.
 
Here's some fuel to add to the fire... apparently on even large accounts... Twitter is daily limiting user following to 500 accounts. Big guys like ManageFlitter have mentioned the following: https://manageflitter.zendesk.com/entries/95979278-Twitter-Follow-Limits

Curious... is anyone having issues following more than 500 people on FollowLiker? Can someone confirm if they are hitting nay limits with FollowLiker?

Down 1,000 followers since this morning on one of my accounts. Yee-haw.
 
First of all, this is just a bug and has been around twitter for at least a year.
As for limits - it is safe yo follow 700 - 900 users a day, that's what i`ve been doing for a year and haven't been banned once.
 
Hey - got a response back from Manageflitter to say that acccts with 2k to 20k can follow 250x and those over 20k can likely follow 250 - 500x accts.

Anyone else had this problem - would be interested to understand if this will continue or if I need to switch over to FL?

I also lost my account followers but got them back after 4 hours
 
Hmmm, soo I shouldn't be following 2300 users a day? I haven't had any problems lol
 
Just found an article ref Twitter's change in policy to better regulate abusive users. I am guessing that the signals that identify spamming and abusive content has an overlap with following and twitter has tightened up how accounts interact with each other. I genuinely hope that there is some relaxing in the following via services like Manageflitter, however the alternative would be to switch to FollowLiker where, I guess many BH peeps have not seen a change to how much they can follow? Grateful for your thoughts :)

I'm running like my ass is on fire to FL. I just ran a few accounts on MF and its a mess!

Normally I would run 700-900 follows a day on a number of accounts and they've been reduced to 100-250. I've not been able to squeeze more than 250 followers using MF. (sigh) And you wonder why Twitter is in trouble with shareholders. <--- heavily biased :)

This sucks! I'm gonna go into my corner and pout some more! :)
