Not sure what's behind this, but lots of political accounts are getting demonetized

I think it's just lower and lower ad payouts as always, they're doing the exact same thing other ad networks have done 20+ years. Pay pennies, charge dollars.

Hopefully they're revamping the Revshare program and also not just accepting anyone who meets the basic Impressions and Followers criteria...

TikTok -> goldmine for quick growth

I agree with the comment above lmao. Wouldn't want to sunk-cost too hard on Twitter but still no reason to leave if you're still doing reasonably good numbers there. We'll see where it goes since Twitter changing hands again isn't off the table. I doubt Musk would step away from it entirely but a change of ownership might be a breath of fresh air for the site.
 
Twitter demonetizing political accounts—and shrinking ad payouts—makes it tough to bank on controversy for cash. I’d suggest diversifying your income with Patreon, subscriptions, or by building a presence on alternative platforms.
 
FINALLY!! so many accounts would spark religious or political controversial topic or even spreading missinformation for sake of views.
