Does anybody know how long a twitter IP Ban lasts? I think I got round the accounts getting suspended but now they have blocked about 20 of my IPs. I've cut my tweet rates drastically, but the IPs haven't picked up at all in the last few hours. Anybody know how long they block an IP for?

im not sure but i know that you can open 10 accounts per i.p so if you did more than 10 on one i.p this might have be the reason

I was running 4000 accounts on 50 IPs, I think I had too much throughput per IP, the accounts are mostly still live, but some of the IPs are now blocked by twitter.

this is because you guys are over saturate this i mean 4000 acc on 50 ip's? didn't you think you get banned in the first place? i'm know its can't effect anything you always can get more i.p's and more accounts, but be more reasonable

I thought if you had let's say 10 accounts on 1 IP and 1 of those 10 accounts got banned all would be banned aswell

no they not, its shouldn't be any reason that they will suspend all the accounts.

i mean why would they do that? unless you spam with all the accounts so they will, but i have accounts on same ip that some of them are suspended and the rest are just fine

It's okay say we are over doing it, but I don't think it is that simple, only 17 of the 50 IPs are blocked, and in the real world some IPs use 1000s of accounts because they are part of some other system.

I also ran a system when building my current setup that had 1000 accounts on 1 IP that worked fine for several months. I don't think the number of accounts per IP is the issue, I do however suspect throughput or possibly some other problem.

Thanks Dazzler that is what I'm saying, however I suspect that I have either over spammed, or had too much throughput on the 17 IPs that have got blocked. I've cutt down the tweet attempts on them but so far that aren't back. I can't believe they block the IPs indefintely but I suppose they could.
