Follow people in your niche. Many will follow you back. As for the ones who don't, you unfollow them a few days later.
This series of tasks can be accomplished with any number of tools or bots.

Followliker will always be my bot of choice. It's easy to use and very effective.

I suggest using a bot, then scrape people that are in the same niche as you. This will increase your followers.

Agree with all except the asking part. Large accounts typically aren't going to promote you out of the goodness of their hearts. You gotta be ready to shell out some coin to grow.
