Twitter Ghosting

Anyway, the culprit I belive and as many know/suspect is excessively following. I receieved several sms verifies, lock/password & ghosting warnings. Got to adapt.
What do you mean by "ghosting warnings"?

@DavisRand - just meant that if your TW acct is in ghost mode (not notifying on follows, likes, etc).. then TW is trying to tell you something, .. a warning - aka a "ghost warning" - I just made that term up.

Just a figure of speech, nothing that your probably don't already know.

PS: today seeing that some of my ghosted TW accts are coming out of ghost mode and back to normal notification.. seems like 3d of not following (but tweeting) restores them to normal, and possibly less time (maybe only 24 hours?)

@RiskSlayer
Interesting, gonna try this too. Also, i have some accounts that came out of ghosting for day or two and then got ghosted again.

@bArrAsc - to my knowlege, there is no formal warning or msg from Twitter when a TW acct goes into this status (ghosting: follow or like notifications not being sent to followed/liked acct).

I have been manually checking for now, but I am currently looking to configure my existing bots to help me do a daily check

@Ina - I just started tracking this closely. Ghosting depends significantly on the following history of the acct - some of my longstanding accts are following more than 1,000 .. but, definitely not new ones. It could be as low as 100 per day to get safely started for an acct that has been dormant. I am exploring all this now. I suggest testing robustly.

I am seeing cases where waiting 3d is not restoring notifications. This whole issue is frustrating.

I am now seeing some accts taking as much as 5-6d to exit the ghosting (no likes or follow notifications to target acct).

The only approach that seems to be working for me is to just rest the accts until the notify on likes & likes (2-6d seems like) and then trying again.

Then, starting really low.. like 50-60 follows per day. Also, just throwing out a ton of likes will get you ghosted as well.

The best rate or safe rate to move up to is not clear yet. I am having a hard time getting these accts even stablize and grow a little.

I do have some accts that are like 4-6 wks old that appear to be able to follow 300-380ish per day, but data set is small on that.

Best,

Seems if you follow with API you can follow 1000 a day, with bots that do not use API much less

Interesting, i thought there is way less limit for following with api. So if you follow 1k with api, your following still get notifications or you meant you can follow 1k without bans/locks?

Any update on the ghost follow and ghost notification? Did anyone find a way around it or anything? I have 500 twitter accounts that were doing fine but when the ghost follow happened it hit me so hard I'm making 10% of what I did a year ago. Really need some help with fixing this "twitter ghosting" issue.

Have about 30 ghosted accounts, resting more than a week and still ghosted. Any other ideas?

Some news about ghosting, after exactly 2 weeks almost all my ghosted account are not ghosted anymore. All of them was unghosted yesterday, all at once. Another strange thing is that it does not matter if they have some activities during that period or not. I've made some tests and keep some of them active (follow/unfolow/like/tweet of course with very low numbers). Also, I think that there is a bug in followliker and some paused accounts still tweeted in the last 2 weeks.
In additional, you can check account is ghosted by searching for @username (not form:username), and you have not to be logged with the same account. If you don't see any tweets from this user it's ghosted.
So there is light in the tunnel just have to be patient.

Some of my accounts I haven't touched for months and are still gosted. Maybe ip got something to do with it too?

Does anyone have any idea what limits/delays are adequate to use for a new Twitter account for following/DMing to not get ghosted?

anyone know how not to get ghosted from following ppl????use api??

Whathe about creating your own accounts with new proxies? Would you still get ghosted?
