Twitter following limits

I know when you create a new twitter account and then follow a bunch of people (i believe the limit is 1000 a day) twitter will look very closely at your account
But if i have an account from 2009 what are the benefits?
Can i follow more than 1000 a day?
Does twitter not look at closely at it?
Does having an older account have its benefits?


Any help is appreciated thx.

nope its 1000 regardless of age of account

I would say no......your account would be of benefit if you have alot of real followers who are active...then you can make money doing retweets and shout outs...be sure to press the like button if this was helpful ..cheers man

An older account will allow to follow more people sooner if it has frequent content and some followers already, but it's really not worth going through the hassle of getting one unless you already have one
