I have just added Twitter to my "to do list". I am starting to follow the followers of my competitors, but is there a number of accounts you can follow a day before it looks odd?

I believe there’s a 5000 follow limit until you have the same number of people following you back.

Also, generally it looks better if you have more followers than people you follow.
