I'm experimenting with a few twitter bots that I've made, and I'm wondering, what's the best strategy for acquiring followers?

I already have a database of tweets that I send out every once in a while.. but how do I find out who to follow? So far, I've just been following random people, and then sometimes I jump into somebody's followers and start following them.

I'm not sure if this is the best strategy, as most of my followers are a bunch of "belieber" idiots. I've heard some people target keywords, is that via the search option?

Check out my thread.. What I do is I have an iMacro script set up to favorite people's tweets.. Usually "justin bieber" or "harry styles" works out fine. You get quite a few followers (I've gotten over 100 in one day before). It works out well for me since I'm a 17 yr old guy

You can target keywords or you can follow followers of people in your niche
like I follow followers of people who post motivational quotes and other people
in the personal development niche.

If you looking for just followers, target hastags like Teamfollowback, follow4follow or something in that sort.

Trunco: I might share them when they're at a more usable state. (At the moment there is no UI, it's just a bunch of code that I have to tweak every time I run it..)

1Ozen, how do you target keywords? I'm actually new to Twitter.

I don't just want followers, I'd rather have some followers that will click on links and possibly convert, as I plan on monetizing these twitter accounts later.
