I bought an account with 11.k followers. What would be an appropriate number of follows/unfollows per day?

I currently have 2.5k / 2.5k. I am getting account locked (unlocked using sms code) for only following 75 and unfollowing about 50 every other day.
That is about 37 / 25 per day average.
Right now, I am doing +75 and -50 in a 30 minute session, every other day.
Perhaps, I should spread out the actions evenly across time?
What am I doing wrong?

I would say you cannot, those numbers are too high. That would be potentially 7k a week. This is 2018 not 2008.
Better to try and do more with less, be smarter, do better targeting (filtering), do better searches etc
Looks like twitter has changed since this thread was posted.
What are the safe follow/unfollow numbers and timings now?

I always caution against looking for limits. What is safe today, may not be next week, so if you push the limits, next week you may be trouble. Sure you can follow X in a day, but can you do that 7 days in a row, can you do that 30 days in a row? Perhaps you can, but I am sure it is all marked onto your account twitter side and used against you should these marks start to build up.
Sure a normal user may follow 1000 people in a day. But every day? no, certainly not 30 days in a row.
Also, just how safe is safe?
I've been doing +75 -50 follow unfollows in a 30 minute session every other day. That's +35 -25 per day on average and I'm getting locked(SMS unlockable). I'm running one account 2.5k fs and pretty concerned about these locks building up. But getting locked with +35 -25 seems ridiculously low even by oct2018 standards. What do you recommend

I don't think you can say 75 in 30 minutes, is a 35 per day average. That is a 75 per 30 minute average. Although not a lot - is 20-30 seconds pause, perhaps there is a footprint there.
Why not actually do 35 over a 24 hour period. assumed a 10 hour work period, that is only 3ish an hour.
But it might not be this that is causing the issue. You could already be flagged: footprints / previous behaviour / spam / low quality IP (proxy) / low quality sign up score (ip / email), perhaps your bot is faultly and leaking. So many potential variables.
I just grabbed a test account and followed 75 users with a 1-5second pause and had no issues, completed iin less than 5 minutes. However, I cannot extrapolate and assume I can do this every hour, or every day indefinitely. All it shows is, this one account could perform that set of actions one time without issue.

the 1k/day i do with the filter 700 mseconds twitter mass follow
( starts with =0.7ms -_- ends slower ~1,5ms -_- if you switch very fast to different accounts you can save time )
got this week 2 phonecall verifications requests for the same account
one between 2 follow sessions and one after 300 follows -_- after the verification +700

Does Twitter Mass Follow start going slow for you after awhile? I have to uninstall and reinstall it every now and then, because it starts moving at a snails pace. It's annoying as hell. lol

XP 169 follows 2m41s 500-669 2m52s ( following /keysstroke/following )
i use a portable chrome, deleting the folder solves the slow speed
i never tried to delete the extension datebase from an installed chrome
if you remove/readd the extension, the settings are remaining and maybee too the big db

Never thought about it that way, but yeah that make senses. The extension is saving tons of data, because of their skip/unfollow after certain amount of days, other options, etc...
Makes sense that the bigger the save data gets the slower it will go.
