Twitter recently decreased the MAX number of people any account can follow to 400 (like that's gona achieve anything).
New accounts are still subject to new account restrictions. If you follow 400 on a brand new account you get account verification.

I heard about the 400 follow restriction but what if you don't have a brand new account? And how old does it have to be to not be restricted?

it could be, that you can follow with a new account only 50/day or less
accounts who are previously able to follow 1k/d are limited to 400/d
i stated in march that you need >40k followers for the 1k limit
but it could be 40k was not correct and 45k or 50k was the correct number
with a 32k to 37k account i got multiple 3 day blocks + 1 day shadow_bans when i tried to follow 1k/d
but i'm able to follow 400/day since tuesday

400 a day for normal accounts. Still 1000 a day if you have the blue check mark.

I want to add to this that they have a smaller limit of 30 per...minute I think? I just add 30 and wait a moment until it clears.
And I believe they have something between a day and a minute, but I haven't really figured out what it is. I do shit manually or just one account, and so I'll just add 30, dick around online, add another 30 and so on.
