I'm not sure how many of you actually use these social networking websites for long term projects besides myself, but I'm curious if anyone has had any issues with having too many accounts on one IP WITHOUT spamming. No mass mailiers every single day (once in a while sure), no 100 twitters a day from one account, just basic marketing on each one.

How many have you had on one ip without having issues? I keep adding more, and I was originally nervous about getting banned instantly but out of sheer laziness I haven't moved these to proxies. Not that I have a large amount or anything, but what have you personally gotten away with without ever getting banned?

I suggest you use proxies to open the accounts and use different names.

there is a good firefox plugin called foxy proxy, recommended.

I didn't plan on becoming a doppelganger, obviously id use different names and proxies to open them, my question was how many do YOU operate on ONE ip address. Don't bother replying if your answer is one. I want to hear 3, 5, 10, whatever.

i used to have 3 twitter accounts created with the same ip but different email addresses, all of them are banned now (2 of them with 25k+ followers) :)
somebody says 10 twitter acc from the same ip is safe, it depends on what do you do with that accounts...

I have 15 Twitter accounts all created from a few ip's and then I manage them from one site, Hootsuite.com

I login to 5 different facebook profiles and 30 fan pages that I access from multiple ip's each day

both of those list's are growing

***only have one myspace account, don't have much interest in targeting the idiots there

I had about 2k twitter accts that I used on 1 ip. they lasted almost 6 months till everyone of them got banned.

I had 3 FB accts on 1 IP, ewhore accts that were rarely used. Logged into one last week and it was banned, I'm assuming the other 2 are also.

I have 3 myspace accts 2 on 1 ip and 1 on another.

I think it depends on if you are spamming the fuck out of the sites and then they ban.

mainly depends on the volume, if you are going to mimic user behavior and not go way off the deep end maybe myspace will think its a public IP or something

ive sent friend requests and comments from one ip addresses but i got banned creating too many account from the same ip address.
