Nothing we didnt suspect, of course but maybe this will help to put some pressure on them to back down some. It stands to reason as id just posted a thread a few days ago about losing a bunch of followers who didnt willingly unfollow, and shortly thereafter saw an article written about this video which also cited others experiencing the same thing

Interesting watch. In agreement that it isn't something we didn't suspect.
More profound to see that
1) it's mentioned outright by current and ex employees for a very public audience
2) Openly admitting the circle jerk culture around social media tech giants.. If one does it, they all do it.
Anyways been a fan of gaming the algos (although in greyhat fashion) so cheers to everyone on BHW who's successfully done it and had no qualms about going full blackhat mode. You are the MVPs that keep these kinds of people in check.

Im sure it's all fun and games until the Board of Directors and stockholders get wind of that phuckery and start making some noise. Ironically, the past 3 days have been super productive on twitter with impressions nearly 3x what they were, almost as if they tweaked the algos after this all came out. I don't do politics at all, but a good 50% of my demo is rightwing. Im not a conspiracy freak by any means but this was eye opening.
