Twitter closing API authentication

on their api page it says that basic authentication method will be out of twitter api by end of this months. which means all tools (except maybe hummingbird) won't work. the required oAuth method requires application to have a registered api key etc =)
currently im writing a bot that would mimic the api buy simply browsing the site an clicking buttons =)
btw this api change is great news for pro twitter spammers, because it means that twitter will now concentrate on API spam more than on web based spam =)

yes, but the API will not be banned. Hummingbird can simply upgrade to better auth if they want.
 
Oauth has web interface as well. Need to scrape few values only piece of cake.
 
To use oauth an application will have to have its own api key. So all spamm tools will just keep getting banned)
