Twitter changing its algorithm for timeline display

Twitter marketer take note. Seems like there will be a major changes to twitter. You will no longer be able to get traffic by tweeting often to your followers. Instead, your tweet would appear on the timeline based upon a 'secret' algorithm similar to Facebook. This changes will render Twitter to become ineffective for marketing except if you use paid ad service.

At the moment, there is still no known effect to hashtag but I presume this changes will be applied to how hashtag display tweets too. Since tweets will no longer be displayed in Chronological order. Seems like it is time to look for another sources for marketing.

I understand that everybody wants to make their web application (meaning Twitter) as awesome as possible.. but this is a kick in the pants!

We all know Twitter paid ad campaigns are trash.
