Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is standard practice or not but...

TWITTER CALLED ME TO UNLOCK MY ACCOUNT AFTER DOING FOLLOW/UNFOLLOW.

Is this normal? Before it was just a text but now I am scared that I need to be a lot more careful. Do I need to dial back on how aggressive I'm being?

Now Twitter added some extra security. If you will follow quickly / more people it will ask for recaptcha

•3 day FOLLOW lock
•pw change
•sms verification

you need 15k following for the ability to flw 1k/day

in
~ may it was an acc 15k + 18k follower
~ in july it was an acc 15k + 19,5k follower

3 day locks with 13k + 14k

the remaining question
is it possible to flw 1k/day with an acc 15k following 14,6k follower ← both numbers are close to the rule "max following=followers +10%

i also got a call request on one of my accounts (didn't actually call, seems like a waste at the moment),

it seems like twitter is much more strict with following, i remember 2 years ago when i had zero issues with following 800 people.

how many are you following per day?

i personally got the call message after like 150 follows which is super low... (got a few sms/email messages first) i'm trying to up my setting but keep getting email/sms blocks,
not sure what the best settings at the moment... twitter is so strict, it's extremely frustrating! (i remember easily following 800 people like 2 years ago)

would appreciate some help with that if someone has some good settings to share.

If you have 2,000 followers, you can follow/unfollow at least 100 a day. And yes, they call for verification. Pretty scary but they said it's for security.

Go slow like you would go with your GF/Wife.

Never do anything quickly in life because that doesn't give good results. xD

it sucks, when in the social network where you need to express yourself as wow, you can do it. it's very sad.

It's normal. Sometimes they text. Sometimes a phone call.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just unlock when they request it and there's no way of not having it happen, because Twitter locks accounts randomly all the time.

Are these pre-recorded calls? Or is it an actual person talking to you live, on the other end of the call?

Pre-recorded calls, telling you 6 numbers that you have to type in the Twitter fied, its very easy...
