Twitter bot safe limits (using bot)

Hello, can anyone using TW bot can advice me about the daily safe limits when following/retweeting... and their timing? I'm using tsupremacy, it works good so far but one of my accounts required phone verification after noticing an automated behavior.

I did set the bot to follow 3 accounts every 4-5 mins, and to rest every 30-40 mins, but maybe I did a mistake (tried with 3 account, only one got locked).

i remember very well exactly 24h later again a phone verification
and than ~2 month later they requested only the mobile# string
 
there are a lot of users (including me) able to follow 1k/d (and on some days up to 5k/d)

reveryfy fast and continue until the daily limit

the 850 is an recommendation "

if you follow 1k/d from the mentioned account, the FB ratio will be a little lower

Twitter does periodical locks no matter what you're doing.

So yeah most of us follow 1,000 a day fine, but every now and then we still get the phone verify thing. It's not a problem though, because we just unlock with the phone call and keep on going.

There is no way to prevent that from happening no matter if you follow 10 a day, 100 a day or 1000 a day.

Already followed +300 with one of my accounts using the Chrome add-one, the problem is how to get more follow-back.
I think I'll keep the bot for scheduling tasks, very risky to mass follow using it.

I have personally experienced getting constant password change demands from them, text message verification, getting my API keys reset or revoked. It is VERY annoying! I mean why set up an API that allows following and unfollowing, then gripe when people use it to automate those very functions?!!

What are some ways to best stay safe from any extra nonsense on twitter? I mean stuff that is more than the normal periodical pestering that they do...

As accounts age, you tend to get those less and less. Also, I've noticed those password change/phone verification locks are more likely to occur after sudden changes in patterns, such as big increase in following or unfollowing, or an IP change. But in general, older accounts seem more immune to those locks. Yet, I've noticed sometimes those locks seem completely random. Maybe people blocking my account have something to do with it as well.(Promoting adult, so I expect people to be blocking me from time to time)

Based on the above experience, it seems to be better to start off with aged accounts. Set a follow/unfollow pattern (currently I am doing 400/400 on a 1 year old accounts, and I increased those numbers gradually over time), put them on a good proxy, and try not to change it frequently. You can ramp up a bit the numbers, but do so gradually, and don't go above 500. I've heard that if you go above 500 follows/day it is much more likely to get those phone verifications, so I am staying with 400 for now, just in case. Also, going above 500 raises a red flag, so your accounts may get suspended if Twitter catches up on them.

I used to get locks every single day, but their frequency decreased a lot in time. It's been more then a week since I got my last lock.

Thank you! Good sound advice that I can put to good use.

I use a website script to do all of the following/unfollowing, and I use another to auto tweet innocuous stuff, like YouTube videos, RSS feeds, etc related to my niche. (which is not a product pushing or adult themed niche at all)

I have indeed lowered my following to around 300-400 max, because at 700 or more, they were pestering me a LOT! I noticed that the one account that I had for over 4 years now never got bothered at all though, and it was doing 900 follows a day (it has like 30k followers naturally), so everything you have said makes perfect sense. I had figured that the issues were what you have said, but I wanted to ask anyway, a second opinion is always good! Especially when I am not really into twitter, but know there are some people here mastering it like crazy. :D

I'd still be careful with that 4 year old account, even though it's aged, following 900 people a day may be too much.
From a personal experience, 2 years ago I started with about a dozen of accounts, out of which 6 managed to survive, while the others got suspended. After 6 months I decided to ramp up their following on those 6 survivors, I started doing 900/900 follows/unfollows on them every single day. I very rarely got locks, so I thought they are pretty safe. This went on for a full year, and one day I woke up to see them all suspended. (probably an update in Twitter algorithm caught up on them, since there was no way to connect them all, they were running on different proxies) I am most certain that too much following daily caused that.
Guess I learned my lesson, and I am trying to play it safer now :) No more than 400-500 follows a day
 
Simply stay withing the human capabilities, and post good content, also if you follow/unfollow do it using browser add-on, you can say it's semi-automated process, when using a bot you leave very weird print that I think will eventually limit the visibility of your account.

Today I tried an experiment, scheduled tweets (9 over 6 hours), I got new 30 followers for each account until now without following anyone.

You guys are following 1,000 a day?!

I was being conservative with 150 for no reason. Guess that's from carrying an 'instagram mindset'
 
About staying safe on Twitter... I'm trying to find anyone interested in doing a sort of Tweet-Reply exchange to strengthen our accounts. I've found that my accounts that had the most conversations back and forth were far more resistant to being suspended.

It would also increase the value of our accounts as they would have a far greater 'human touch' to them.

Does this make any sense?

That's a good question. Honestly, I never gave it any thought. I would be interested in hearing from more seasoned twitter players on here about that myself.

I would really like to test the theory with anyone willing to participate in this Tweet-Reply Exchange.
From my experience it protects the accounts and even helps with SEO.
If enough of us participate - our accounts should have a better 'human' score if tested on any bot-or-not site.
Anyone interested?
