Twitter and an e-commerce store

OK I put a very similar thread on the Making Money forum and did get a few replies, but maybe you all will have something more specific. Anyone have experience using Twitter to promote an e-commerce store? I have some decent /twitter accounts and am thinking about trying this to monetize one or two of them. I'll promote links to my products every few hours, and mix in some non-money tweets, too. Please share your thoughts.

Have you tried e-commerce with Twitter?

maybe with twitter ads.
